Changing Seasons

Good grief, where did September go? No, seriously. Where? Two weeks into the month already, and I feel like it's still August (except for the chilly nights we've had recently). The weather is cooling off, it's getting dark sooner, and before I'm ready for it, the leaves will start to turn.

I think I'm partial to spring, rather than fall. In the spring, things are warming up, waking up, coming alive. In the fall, the world is cooling off and going to sleep. And it will officially be autumn in a week. *boggles*

Summer? Where, oh where did you go?

Love Winter the best, but Fall is a close second. I like the bleakness of those seasons. I'm morbid like that. :-D

Fall means Halloween - our favorite holiday. It's my favorite time of the year, with brown and gold and red everywhere.

Besides, your book is releasing soon (finally)!! Woohoo! :-)

I like winter and fall because it means (to me anyway) cozy weekends lazing in bed with a lot of blanket, a book, the window open for the sound of rain and a fire in the fireplace. Of course lately, we have air days in the winter, when no one can use their fireplace, lately I worry about people with NO homes to stay warm and dry in, and the cold makes my joints hurt. So now I don't know what to like. I like spring! And Halloween, and Christmas!

With the exception of that one week in August, I'm not certain we ever really *had* summer here.
