No worries, I didn't forget this month! I just haven't been online much this week. I've given myself a break from writing and decided to immerse in reading. Which has been fun, because I've read three books since Sunday--usually the max I can manage in a week, and it's only Thursday!
So far, I've read:
Red-Headed Stepchild, by Jaye Wells. I'm ashamed it took me this long to read my agency-sib's book, and feel equally dumb for putting it off because I enjoyed it so much. Hairless cats rule! So if you haven't read Jaye's book, what are you waiting for?
Stray, by Rachel Vincent. I'm equally ashamed to admit I bought this when it was first released. Why the wait? No idea. I've only heard good things about this series. But I finally read it (started it while waiting at the vet's with a cat, LOL!) and it was awesome. I was very annoyed my local bookstore didn't have any of the others in stock. I hate waiting!
The Darkest Whisper, by Gena Showalter. Devoured this, as with all the other Lords of the Underworld books. I can't get enough of this series. The side stories and subplots are continually as intriguing as the main couple's story, and the world continues to expand with each installment.
EDIT: CONTEST CLOSED!!!
THE CONTEST
This one is simple. Tell me about the last three books you read, and you're entered in the drawing. Contest is open until Sunday evening, at which time I'll draw the winner.
THE PRIZE
Prize is three In-Stock Mass-Market paperbacks of your choice. Mass-market means the small books, usually priced between $6.99-7.99 retail. They must be current releases (I can't get not-yet-published or out-of-print books, sorry) and available in-stock from either Amazon or B&N.
And....GO!

The last three books I've read:
Wanderlust - Ann Aguirre - Totally in love with this series. Cannot wait for Doubleblind to come out in Sept.
The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker - Leanna Renee Hieber - Lovely historical, paranormal romance. One of my top favs this year.
Hunting Ground - Patricia Briggs - one of my fav authors!
So, I've had a really good reading week!!
Fun contest!!
The last three books I have read are all in the Troubleshooters series.
I just finished All Through The Night, which was much more romantic than edgy. So far it was my least favorite book for that reason.
Before that I read Force of Nature which was great, but again not a favorite. For me there just wasn't enough SealTeam16 or Troubleshooters in it.
And the one prior to FON was Into The Storm and was very intense, very edgy. I loved it!
I have 3 more books in the series then will move onto something else.
Have a wonderful week!
Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs
The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe
Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan
All were amazing books in totally diffeent ways.
The Cost of Eternity by Shayla Kersten - The jury is still out on this one...
Lover Avenged & Lover Enshrined by JR Ward - I love the brothers
BLOOD COLONY by Tananarive Due-This book is the third in Mrs. Due's literary horror series about a group of Immortals with powerful blood that was stolen from Jesus himself. Mrs. Due is a wonderful author and a wonderful person! :-D
THE FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH by Carrie Ryan-This book is the first in Ms. Ryan's YA series. I love zombies and this book! :-)
WITHIN THE SHADOWS by Brandon Massey-This horror novel is great. It concerns a young man who fell for a woman who is now his stalker--oh, and she has supernatural powers! Original story. Mr. Massey is a good writer.
Great contest! I hope I win! :-D
The last 3 books I`ve read are
Retribution-Jeanne Stein
Blood Promise-Richelle Mead
Shiver-Maggie Stiefvater

The last 3 books I read are:
Princess Bride, My Antonia, and Witch (from the duology of Witch and Warrior).
Great idea for a contest!
Love this contest! Quick and easy.
The last three books I read were:
Dark Fever (yes, I have a long ways to go in this series). LOVED IT! Karen M. Moning.
Red Fire, Deidre Knight, also loved it as did Mom! And she never likes these kind of books - hooray!
Forbidden - Helen Kirkman. I like Kirman's prose. This is a historical about a wealthy woman and the thrall (indentured servant) she purchases to help her with a dilemma in life.
Great reading month for me.
Thanks again for contest.

You know I had to think about this...
Soulless by Gail Carriger:
Um love love love? Confusion, but love.
Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran:
I enjoyed this so much more then I thought I would, considering I had very little idea about the source material (that of Cleopatra's children by Marc Antony)
The Battle for the Black Onyxby Charlene Haines:
A new local author who's book I picked up at a large author signing--I liked it, but the structure gave me issues...
Lexie.Cenni(@)gmail.com
ps: i'm also the sort who buys things at release day and I wait to read it for whatever reason...
My three...
American Psycho - Ellis
My work has been compared to his, but the sadistic sexual violence turned me off.
By the Sword: A Repairman Jack Novel: F. Paul Wilson
I've purchased every book he has produced for years. He is considered a writer's writer.
Whitechapel Gods: S.M. Peters
Decent steampunk alt history
JDC
Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy: Finished in the wee hours of this morning. Loved it!
Richelle Mead's Succubus Blues: Am trying to catch up on the author's novels before she comes to Melbourne mid-September. This was better than I was expecting.
Marisa Carroll's Forbidden Attraction: Harlequin NASCAR novels are my guilty pleasure ;-)
The last three books that I've read are:
My Lover's Lover (Maggie O'Farrell)
Sins and Shadows (Lyn Benedict)
Dying Bites (DD Barant)
All good books, especially Sins and Shadows. I have Red-Headed Stepchild, I've read Stray and passed it on to my dad, but I haven't seen The Darkest Whisper yet. I've only read two of Gena Showalter's books.
Happy Reading!
The last 3 books i read are:
Shadowlight by Lynn Viehl
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley
Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men by Molly Harper
(i'd like to enter the contest if it's open worlwide)
I loved Red-headed Stepchild it was an amazing book, i can't wait for book 2 to come out)

All three were very good and I'll continue reading all three series.
Deb
The last three books I've read are:
Immortal by Gillian Shields
Thorn Queen by Richelle Mead
Intertwined by Gena Showalter (almost done)
Last three books I've read:
Duma Key by Stephen King – nice switch from his standard horror
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert – I know people loved this book and it made the bestseller's lists, but I hated it. I found it boring and I honestly couldn't care less what happened to the writer. I only finished it because I can't abandon a book in the middle and not know the end.
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay – A powerful, haunting book
Retribution by Jeanne Stein
Mercy Thompson: Homecoming by Patricia Briggs
The Strangely Beautiful Tales of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Renee Hieber
Picking my way through the anthology Eternal Kiss
All of these have been enjoyable reads, some better than the other but none I wouldn't recommend.
